I don’t know (or particularly care, although it is a convertible so there’s a bare hint of interest) what this is, but seems old enough that I’m sure someone here will find it interesting.

Old R107 Mercedes SL, probably a 380.

My uncle has a 560SL that looks similar to this, except his is a hard top.

I havr lusted after them since childhood. My neighbor bought a 560 in olive with butterscotch interior. It was beautiful.

Really low values leads to many being in this condition. Pre-1 986 with those wheels, likely a 380SL or later run 450SL.

Merc SL with quite a severe blow from the ugly stick due to US rules.

I was just  thinking about their low values. Seems like it would be a good buy for a “driver” and maybe (probably) have the value go up.

Prices in Yourup have been on an upward trend, probably helped by being W113-adjacent. 107s are much more common in NA though, and I don’t see a lot of upside other than in the best of the best preserved low mileage cars, especially with original finishes. Nice enough drivers can be bought for 10K-15K  all day, and there’s such a supply, I doubt that will change in the near term. They probably won’t depreciate much more, anyway.

Well maybe not investor pieces, but they seem like a good value.

A pretty,   classic, convertible Merc for not that much.

Definitely, a lot of car for the money. You can also get small bumpers on cars before 1974, and 560SLs have a lot more power.

Just be sure the engine is sound, don’t expect more than 15 mpg under any conditions, and know that it is a soft boulevard cruiser rather than a sporty roadster.
